Our Firm

Leebody Yuan Law was established by Brad Leebody, a well-known and highly respected lawyer with over 25 years of criminal law experience, and Max Yuan, who has almost a decade of criminal law experience. Our firm offers comprehensive legal representation across the entire spectrum of criminal law, including murder, sexual assault, fraud, dangerous driving, and domestic violence.  We are committed to providing each client with the highest level of professional service and ensuring they receive the fairest outcomes within the justice system. 

1. When you choose our firm to represent you, Mr. Yuan will be personally responsible for your file. Our firm never sub-delegates, and you will never have an inexperienced junior associate learning the business on your dime.
2. Our firm treats our clients equally despite the gravity of the offence. We know that if you are paying for a lawyer to professionally handle your file, you want the best results. This means we will handle one file at a time, and you will receive our fullest attention when we are working on your file. 
3. Our fees are lower. We are a well-run company without a large business overhead, a costly marketing budget, or an expensive employee pay-roll.

During his studies at the University of Alberta, Max’s excellent grades and leadership skills earned him a recommendation to work for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. In the subsequent four years he worked there, Max worked as a Legislative Researcher as well as a speechwriter for various MLAs, Ministers and the Premier. Later, Max got accepted into the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary. During law school, Max volunteered as a caseworker with the Law Faculty’s Student Legal Assistance Program where he helped people with criminal matters of all sorts. After graduating from the University of Calgary, Max articled at our firm and later went on to become a named partner.
