Brad has been representing individuals accused of committing criminal offences for over twenty years. He has enjoyed great success in both criminal trial and appellate courts throughout Alberta and has earned an excellent reputation before the courts for his hard work and dedication to those he represents.
Brad is the senior criminal consultant at the firm and manages the firm based on two key principals: Having the highest ethical standards and advancing a client centered approach to the practice of law.
Brad completed his post-secondary education at the University of Alberta and majored in psychology for four years before attending law school. During his three years at the University of Alberta he volunteered with Student Legal Services representing Albertans who could not afford legal representation. Although he started his career with the goal of becoming a prosecutor, his experience defending some of Edmonton's poorest and most vulnerable citizens ignited a passion for criminal defence work.
Upon graduation Brad was mentored by the late Alexander Pringle Q.C. and worked at the law firm of Pringle & Associates before eventually founding his own law firm in 2015. Brad has represented clients accused of committing everything from the most common criminal offences in law to the most serious crimes.
Brad is committed to mentoring the next generation of criminal defence lawyers. In addition to acting as a mentor to articling students, Brad has taught legal ethics at the University of Alberta. He has also conducted lectures on criminal and constitutional law and has been a guest lecturer at schools in and around Edmonton.
Brad currently works at the Legal Aid Society of Alberta's Bail Hearing Project representing Albertans facing judicial interim detention hearings upon arrest.
When not working the Bail Hearing Project, Brad acts a the senior criminal consultant at Leebody Yuan LLP providing legal opinions and criminal case reviews for clients of the firm.
